Evaluation of the most successful advertising videos 2018
Cologne / Stuttgart, January 24, 2019 – At the end of every year, YouTube presents the most successful German advertising videos. Eighth place in 2018 went to a sequel to the #letsdrivermercedes series with the two presenters Jean Pierre Kraemer and Matthias Malmedie.
#letsdrivemercedes is a YouTube series that OSK developed for Mercedes-Benz back in 2017. The special thing about it is that for certain episodes it unites the two well-known car experts and presenters JP Kraemer and Matthias Malmedie, who had never moderated together before. In 2018 alone, they were in front of the camera for 15 days for the YouTube format. The two experts are testing different Mercedes-Benz models. There will also be a series in which only one of the two experts will be in front of the camera.
In the episode that made it into the top ten in 2018, JP Kraemer and Matthias Malmedie glide along in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class just to see if they have what it takes to be a chauffeur. The episode was shot in June 2018 at film locations between Stuttgart and Leipheim. The 18-minute video was published on YouTube in October 2018 and has over 1.8 million views to date.
