Numerous exhi­bi­tion and commu­ni­ca­tion modules on the brand, product, safety, envi­ron­ment and lifestyle aspects, posi­tioned in the open along the test route. Holly­wood-style evening press confer­ence in a local cinema. Posi­tioning the smart fortwo as a “real car” and, at the same time, as an intel­li­gent, envi­ron­men­tally-friendly alter­na­tive for urban areas - the new member of the “Cre­ative Class”.

A day spent driving the 2008 smart fortwo in the Silicon Valley - by the Google­plex, around the Stan­ford Oval, along Santana Row’s cobble­stone streets - was a study in contrasts, of changing percep­tions about big and small.
