March 2009 At this year's International Motor Show in Geneva, experimental Swiss auto company Rinspeed presented its iChange electric concept car. It was developed from scratch without any preconceptions and is the first car with a body capable of adapting to the space requirement of its occupants.
The beating heart of the study is a forward-looking new-generation infotainment system whose innovative Intel processors minimize energy consumption. The same standards apply to the Harman Kardon GreenEdge high-performance audio system. Its revolutionary technology delivers outstanding sound while protecting the environment by way of significantly reduced mass and minimal power consumption. The navigation system is also especially kind to the environment; before pointing the way with realistic 3D visuals, it calculates the most energy-efficient route.
OSK was engaged by Harman International Automotive Division, the global technology leader for infotainment and sound, to customize a modular exhibition concept for its presentation in Geneva. Not only does the outcome make the best possible use of the restricted space available, but it can also be adapted and extended to suit other exhibition and event venues.
The press days at the Motor Show were given added appeal by the presence of guest celebrity Christine Henning. The presenter of the multiple award-winning Internet TV show Ehrensenf explained the innovative Harman Kardon GreenEdge technologies during an hourly infotainment presentation on the Rinspeed booth.
