March 2009 — At this year's Inter­na­tional Motor Show in Geneva, exper­i­mental Swiss auto company Rinspeed presented its iChange elec­tric concept car. It was devel­oped from scratch without any precon­cep­tions and is the first car with a body capable of adapting to the space require­ment of its occu­pants.

The beating heart of the study is a forward-looking new-gener­a­tion info­tain­ment system whose inno­va­tive Intel proces­sors mini­mize energy consump­tion. The same stan­dards apply to the Harman Kardon GreenEdge high-perfor­mance audio system. Its revo­lu­tionary tech­nology delivers outstanding sound while protecting the envi­ron­ment by way of signif­i­cantly reduced mass and minimal power consump­tion. The navi­ga­tion system is also espe­cially kind to the envi­ron­ment; before pointing the way with real­istic 3D visuals, it calcu­lates the most energy-effi­cient route.

OSK was engaged by Harman Inter­na­tional Auto­mo­tive Divi­sion, the global tech­nology leader for info­tain­ment and sound, to customize a modular exhi­bi­tion concept for its presen­ta­tion in Geneva. Not only does the outcome make the best possible use of the restricted space avail­able, but it can also be adapted and extended to suit other exhi­bi­tion and event venues.

The press days at the Motor Show were given added appeal by the pres­ence of guest celebrity Christine Henning. The presenter of the multiple award-winning Internet TV show Ehrensenf explained the inno­va­tive Harman Kardon GreenEdge tech­nolo­gies during an hourly info­tain­ment presen­ta­tion on the Rinspeed booth.
