July 2008 A colorful ceremony against the backdrop of the Chicago city skyline marked the beginning of the North American tour of the Siemens exiderdome. Over the next four months, the “World of Automation” developed by Oliver Schrott Kommunikation will take the form of a floating exhibition to visit eight cities on the Great Lakes, along the St. Lawrence River and on the eastern seaboard of North America Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montréal, Québec, Halifax, Boston and New York. To create the world’s largest floating roadshow, OSK built the mobile exiderdome pavilion and its entire technical infrastructure on board a barque over 100 meters in length.
At Siemens Energy & Automation, we sell productivity and the exiderdome tells this story through multimedia shows, demos, training sessions and more. With the exiderdome, we are showing our commitment to our customers by meeting in their backyard to discuss how our solutions drive productivity in their industries. |
