April 2008 — Oliver Schrott Kommu­nika­tion put together a sensa­tional show at Auto China in Beijing to herald the world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLK. The presen­ta­tion of the compact SUV at the biggest Chinese auto show was accom­pa­nied by a "Parkour perfor­mance" which provided the media with an emotional and visual inter­pre­ta­tion of the new model. Parkour is a new sports trend that sees the partic­i­pants — known as traceurs — over­come all manner of obsta­cles to follow the most direct route between two points.

One of the six traceurs hired by OSK for the reveal of the GLK was Sébastien Foucan, one of the founders of Le Parkour, who shot to fame following his spec­tac­ular stunts in the last James Bond film “Casino Royale”. The outcome of the press confer­ence — a top slot for the GLK among the show’s ten most-noticed vehi­cles.
