Mobility, transportation and logistics are the drivers of the global economy and a true communications challenge. The growth of traffic between countries, major urban centers and economic zones requires space and resources and both are intensely fought-over.
Mobility issues are among the core competences of Oliver Schrott Kommunikation. Alongside intensive involvement with the automobile and individual mobility, we have also worked for many years for the railway industry, having developed PR, corporate and B2B campaigns for new rail systems on behalf of ABB and Adtranz (now Bombardier Transportation) from the introduction of the dual-system urban railway in Karlsruhe, to export support for the Swedish X2000 tilting train.
We have also demonstrated our expertise in railways, transportation and logistics on the tracks, with the design, construction and operation of a complete train. Consisting of 14 wagons and measuring 280 meters, it remains, to date, the longest exhibition train ever. Between 1999 and 2000 it traveled through Europe as a the “Opel Millennium Express” and, from 2002 until 2004 as the “Siemens exider” rolling exhibition stand, it became the first train in railway history to travel all the way around the world, complete with ship and air transportation. And, for the complex logistics surrounding the Mercedes-Benz long-distance drive from Paris to Beijing, in 2007 we became the first communications agency ever to receive the “Logistics Service Award” from the German Logistics Association.
