Siemens exiderdome concludes tour of China

100,000 visitors and huge media interest

April 2007 - Siemens A&D successfully wound up its exiderdome tour of China with a major event in Beijing's Sculpture Park. After the launch at the Shanghai Industry Fair in December 2005 and excursions to Thailand and South Korea, the portable exhibition building returned to China in the spring of 2006. In Shenyang, Shenzen, Chengdu, Xi'an, Qingdao and the capital, it opened its doors to customers, trade visitors and journalists, as well as political and business representatives. About 100,000 invited guests visited the Siemens exiderdome, which was developed and operated by OSK, in China overall. The B2B exhibition also aroused an unusual amount of interest in the Chinese media, generating 734 articles in print and online, as well as 31 TV items. The success posted by the exiderdome is further underlined by its sustained promotional effect on sales.

After a brief refit and update in Hamburg, the exhibition will also be visiting Russia, Taiwan and Japan before the end of the year. The post-2007 itinerary includes Canada, the USA, Mexico, Brazil and South Africa. Additional visits to Asia, including India, are currently being planned.

The Siemens exiderdome consists of 35 well-appointed containers accommodating an exhibition of the A&D product and services portfolio on a surface area of 1,000 square metres. The versatile building thus serves at once as a mobile trade fair booth, corporate showroom and brand pavilion. It can also be deployed as a media and training centre, and as a VIP facility.
