Cologne/Stuttgart, February 28, 2014 - Daimler AG has distin­guished Oliver Schrott Kommu­nika­tion with the Daimler Supplier Award 2013 for their outstanding perfor­mance. OSK received the award as the lead agency for auto­mo­tive public rela­tions for the staging of the world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class. In 2013, the agency conceived, planned and realised the highly creative and atten­tion-getting presen­ta­tion and commu­ni­ca­tion for the premium brand’s top model. The world premiere of the luxury sedan, staged in the Airbus Indus­tries hangars at the produc­tion site of the A 380, became a global media event and contributed to the world­wide successful market launch of the new S-Class.

Oliver Schrott Kommu­nika­tion received the award as one of only twelve suppliers and finds itself in the very best of company with global groups like Conti­nental AG. The distinc­tion was awarded as part of a festive cere­mony in Stuttgart, in which, amongst others, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Manage­ment of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber, Member of the Board of Manage­ment of Daimler AG Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Devel­op­ment, as well as Wendelin Wolbert, Head of Non-Produc­tion Mate­rials Procure­ment. In his speech, Dr. Zetsche thanked the suppliers for their loyalty and dedi­ca­tion, and commented: "We cele­brate a winning team - the world’s best supplier network".
