September 2007 The Mercedes-Benz press conference at this year's International Motor Show in Frankfurt focused on environmentally friendly drive technologies. The press conference was conceived and organized by the Oliver Schrott Kommunikation (OSK) PR agency. On a 50-metre-long "Car Walk" illuminated with LED stripes, OSK staged a show called "The Road to the Future" starring a total of 19 series-produced models and concept cars equipped with future-oriented BLUETEC, hybrid and DIESOTTO engine technology.

The vehicle presentations and statements by Board of Management members were part of a show that also included a spectacular performance by the MOMIX dance company from New York that translated the theme of environmentally friendly mobility — the central focus of the auto show — into several sophisticated and imaginative dance performances. Especially popular with the media was an artistic "organic car" formed of people, twigs and leaves that was presented during the introduction to the press conference and flanked the triumphal entrance of the real "World Green Car of the Year 2007" — the Mercedes-Benz E 320 BLUETEC.
More than 100 people worked onstage and behind the scenes during the 40-minute performance at the auto show, including artists, dancers, choreographers, the dance group's director, precision drivers, architects, prop and lighting designers, trade fair stand constructors, multimedia programmers, camera teams, photographers, wardrobe staff and the technical crew.
