Cologne, January 2012 - With three PR events in three days, Oliver Schrott Kommunikation helped its customer Mercedes-Benz Cars to make a successful start to the New Year. The programme during the first week of January consisted of the Mercedes-Benz press conference at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit plus the traditional Mercedes New Year Reception on the evening before the show. The highlight of both events was the world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz SL, the 60th birthday of which OSK celebrated visually and highly emotionally with impressive images.

Alongside numerous lavishly produced films - including a trip in time through the 60-year production history of the legendary sports car and a film contribution in the style of a comic portraying the new Concept Car smart for-us - OSK, as lead agency of Mercedes-Benz Cars, conceived and realized both media concepts, planned and organized the entire sequence of events and supervised overall direction with great success. Extensive reporting in leading international specialist media as well as on social websites supported the market start-up of the new SL.

Right after the double event in Detroit came the appearance of Mercedes CEO Dr Dieter Zetsche as keynote speaker at the CES in Las Vegas. Every year, the showings of selected industrial giants make this renowned key exhibition for entertainment electronics a widely recognized event that finds a corresponding echo in the most important international specialist magazines and online media. OSK provided substantial and organizational support for Dr Zetsche’s 45-minute appearance.
