The launch of the news division is another step in moving towards the news business.

Is the Apple Watch worth the hype?

The whole world is excited about Apple’s new product: the Apple Watch. Australian Mashable author Jenni Ryall takes a look at the hype and tests the watch and several apps. While some apps like Uber or Yelp are good examples of using the watch to its full advantage by keeping the interface simple, others such as Twitter leave off major functionalities that affect the overall user experience. Ryall concludes that while the Apple built-in apps offer seamless user experience, most third-party apps will have to improve now that the watch is in the market.

Instagram is the king of engagement

A recent study conducted by Quintly analyses how likely it is that users interact with the average Instagram account. In fact, the average interaction on Instagram is up to ten times higher than on Facebook. The study also identifies that videos don’t seem to play an important role in Instagram strategies. Even though videos and pictures receive a similar amount of likes on average, over 93 percent of posts contain pictures.
